Cf+Ms pro update?

is anybody out there using the cf driver and the Ms pro update?.... i thought sony might try to change something in the Cf slot so we couldent use the driver

You can use the two together with no problem, in fact the MS Pro driver enhances the CF Driver!

Sorry, maybe I have not had enough coffee this morning, but I am not seeing this anywhere.....how does the MS Pro driver update enhance the CF Driver?

I believe a lot of people require the MS Pro update in order to do the 'trick' masquerade see both mem sticks. The MS Pro update also addresses some issues with audioplayer I believe.
I haven't had any problems with either situation without the patch installed, but there are several people who have said there devices required it to work better with the CF driver.

What is the difference between MS Pro and white or blue sticks? Any?

If I do not have an MS Pro stick, do I need this update even though I have the CF Eruware installed.

I have the NX series and all works fine without the MS Pro Update, so before you download the patch I suggest to take some time read the threads and then decide :o)

I bought a 256 MB MS Pro, I installed the driver properly (as SONY described), BUT the the relevant version numbers did not change at all after the install.
Also I cannot play any voice recorded files from my MS Pro - they just freezing my Clie when I start them to play with Voice Rec.

Any ideas?

You have to wait until your status changes to member after I believe 30 posts. Should be easy to do in a day. I avearge over 30 posts a day and even get a nap :).

When you become a senior member at the century mark, then you can change the wording above the picture/avatar.

When my NX70 was seeing both the stick (128 Lexar) and the CF card (512 Sandisk in masquerade mode) audioplayer played MP3's garbled and several apps (Mobipocket for one) refused to run from the stick when audioplayer was in the background. Installed the MS Pro update and these problems disappeared. MP3's now run from the CF and apps from the stick even with adioplayer in the background. Haven't tried MP3's on the stick yet, though Clie Viewer sees images stored on the stick OK.

Well there is a price difference, LOL!

The white magic gate stick in the Clie has on additional feature that the others don't. That is the ability to use Sony's proprietary ATRAC3 music format on the Clie. The MS Pro maybe a little faster and has bigger memory capacities. The MS Pro ATRAC3 does not work on the Clie, but maybe used for such in other dedicated devices.

The purple stick is a general purpose run of the mill stick.

The latest beta being worked on has pretty much eliminated the need for the MS Pro update. The latest beta driver hasn't been publicly released yet.

Larry, good to know that there'll be another driver update from Eruware, with or without the patch, everything runs fine for me, so it's all cool. :D
