Hi All,

I cannot seem to transfer images to the CLIE T615 from my Sony Vaio laptop using PictureGear 5.1.

The program doesn't seem to recognize that my memory stick is in fact a "drive" on my laptop and not a Serial-Port drive.

WHAT do I have to do to achieve a simple transfer of images to the Clie? What translation is necessary to convert JPGs into the PGP file format.

Lastly, where is the equivalent of the 'File manager' on the clie so as to invoke the images from the memory stick?

Your advice much appreciated.

Many thanks

Windows should recognize your Memory Stick as a drive as soon as you plug it into the MS slot on your VAIO. If it doesn't, it means you are missing the Windows drivers for it.

You can't do better than this when you already have a VAIO equipped with a MS slot. Otherwise you are just taking the harder way out... and wasting the point of having a VAIO (at least in my opinion)

If you absolutely can't find the MS drivers for Windows, install "MS Import" (it should be on the CD that comes with the Clie). When you invoke MS Import and put the Clie on the cradle, the Memory Stick on the Clie will show up as a removable drive in Windows.

Under either scenario you can just drag and drop like you normally would.

PalmOS does not come with a "file manager" that invokes images directly. Launchers with built-in image viewer (e.g. YiShow) can do that, but I personally prefer using dedicated image viewers that read from Memory Stick directly.
