m505 for $60 Should I buy?

I wanted to get a clunker palm to bring to school... so i didnt have to worry about my 665 breaking and my friend offered his m505 for $60.00, but he says it has a bad battery life.
Should I get it?
Is there anything I can do about the battery?:confused:

If you really use the palm while at school, the bad battery will really be a problem. I had a 505 with a bad battery and the battery life just got progressively worse. A friend of mine has it now and it works for him, but he does not use it hardly at all and it spends most of it's time in the charger.

You may want to ask your friend how long the battery will last and if the battery discharges only when in use. Mine started to discharge even when I didn't use it.

I wasn't able to do anything about the battery except buy a Clie:D
