Weird ... mine too ...
As long it's not a sign of the whole thing falling apart ...
THANKS for the workmanship, Sony-san ... no expense spared and all ...

my guess is that if your screws are rusting, you have too much moisture inside the nz also... i would remove the screws, treat with anti rust cleaner, then coat with a protective spray (like they use on boats) and reassemble...
i have not removed my screws (nor are they rusting), but if they are machine thread, chances are good you could find stainless steel screws to match... metric of course...

that's a great way to void the warranty too!

void the warranty? remove the screw, clean it, and put it back?
surely you are joking....
how about turning it in WITH the rust... they will probably NOT honor the warranty... (will say you abused it)
or maybe you think putting a stainless steel screw of the same size will void the warranty? I doubt it...

... so you mean it's not waterproof?
Damn ... I've been using it IN the pool ... underwater, recording lap times ...
Oh well ... sigh ...

mine's rusting a bit....yah, you will void the warantee if you tinker it around like that...even if intentions are good

i think pulling out an exterior screw, cleaning it, and putting it back will be fine... unless you are a klutz... you think sony has some machine to tell if you unscrewed it? nope...
Now if you take it apart, and leave a trail of broken stuff, well, i think that is obvious...
i did a quick count, got 12 screws, sure there are probably more... hmm... never had one rust...
