Hotsync problem on T615C

The hotsync function seems doesn't work. On temp basis, I have to sync my palm with an old Win98 machine. I installed the palm desktop and the hotsync icon appears properly on the bottom right hand corner. However, when I tried to sync, the hotsync box only flashed a second and then disappeared. My clie tried to connect with the PC but it still failed after a few minutes.

I've selected the right user, USB hotsync etc, but it still didn't work. I tried to unstall & reinstall again but still failed.

What's the problem ? Anyone can help ?

try right clicking on the Hotsynch manager in your system tool tray, select exit so it dissappears.

Perform a soft reset on your handheld, then find the location of your Hotsynch Manager in your computer and open it up again so it reappears in your tooltray. Try to synch.

I tried your suggestions already but it still doesn't work. I checked the hotsync log and it only shows 'Hotsync Error : Failed to create tasks (8006)'.
