It's always nice to see when the Palm leader comes to the forefront and speaks out in defense of the failing Treo model. Palm is like the historical grocery store paper bag manufacturer who's competing against leakproof/breakproof plastic shopping bags. For me, I didn't see enough substance in his message. His message didn't scream, "We are listening Palm community and we will fix those things that we have so wronged you by" but at least we know that he has taken the time between smoking Cohibas on the Palm yacht that we all paid for, to let us know that he's at least paying some attention.
Personally, I would prefer that Ed respond with an innovative device that is competitive technologically with the iPhone and some of the other innovations that have come about by other manufacturers.
I'd also like to see an upgrade path put into place for those people, like the 700P owners, who have been awarded thus far, nothing but technological doorstops.
Sure, some of us are geeky enough to make the thing work marginally but I, for one, would like to see something more geeky right out of the box. And work right out of the box.
That's what I would like to see.
:)
