I've never made my PEGA-KB11 keyboard work with my PEG-T415. As soon as I connect the Clien to the keyboard, the Hotsync app starts. When I cancel the hotsync and try to type, hotsync starts again with the first key I press.

I've tried assorted remedies I've seen posted on Cliesource.com and in comp.sys.palmtops.pilot, to no avail. Warm reset got me nowhere. The driver the keyboard came with is v. 1.8, but I even tried installing v. 1.6 downloaded from Think Outside, with no luck. I've turned off all hacks, but that didn't work either. (Well, there was a slight improvement: pressing keys no longer started hotsync, but it didn't enter any characters either.)

Help! Please! Thanks!

Greg

Did you enable the keyboard *before* you plug the keyboard in?

I don't know if this will help nut I had the same problem with my N760C. I finally went with Version 1.51 (I think.. I'm at work and can't check at home) which remedied that problem in part. The second part of the remedy was to write 2 grafitti letters before typing on the keyboard-otherwise it would hotsync after pressing the first keyboard button. I know it sounds rediculous - and it was - I now have a NR w/ Sony Branded Keyboard with none of these problems.

I just went through a similar experience with my keyboard. I found out the culprit program was an app called "beamoff." Then I realized that my keyboard does not like my beam receive off (found in preferences--general settings menu). Before I figured this out I had to call SONY (which was a nightmare in itself...) and they helped me. I had to do a hard reset, and reload ONLY the driver. Then see if your keyboard works. If it does, one of your other programs is interfering with your driver. Load your programs one at a time, and try the keyboard in between loads. Make sure you do not do a full hotsync during this process. Move your back-up folder out of the palm directory. I moved mine to the desktop. Hope this helps!

Beach Greg:
Try not having the KB and PDA connected while it is in the process of resetting.

If you still have problems, send me a private message (or email) with your email address and I'll send you the current version of the Driver.
