Vtech cordless phone uses palm address directory

I didn't know that Vtech cordless phone can access outlook or palm address directory:

I wonder if they have to hotsync or just usb/copy the address?

According to the manual (http://www.vtechphones.com/docMgt/public/art/21375/i5871_manual.pdf) you have to export as a comma separated text file and then import into the VTech phonebook manager application. Then transfer to the handset.
