ProfileMD resets my LD

...........and that's something I hate cause I am using that program alot. I installed it with the installer and manual. The first time it start. Exciting the program and starting it again give me the follwing error


" A reset was caused on 13.8.07 at 18:48 while running Advanced Utility Library
DataMgr.c,line:11439,index of of range"

Anybody experienced the same with the mentioned program?
Anybody knows how to solve it?

Hmmmmm... I also use the app, although on my TX. Where are you storing your databases (the default is in RAM, I store mine on the card)? Maybe this has something to do with it since you are using an LD, it might have trouble recognizing your hard drive as RAM, or card.

Are you using the newest version? It works fine on my TX.

Do you have any other applications installed that may not be NVFS compatible? They can and will reset other applications. List at palmfocus.com.

Yeah, I had PHMD Classic v1.06 No other apps running then the standard apps which are on the LD. See here (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1005670&posted=1#post1005670)
I installed it first with the installer and the second time manual. The results where the same. I just started it again and it crashed again

For a few times it ran. Then again it crashed the LD and my database was empty. Now I have a backup on a card.The LD already crashed more in 24 hours then my Zire ever did:)

Case solved. ProfileMD is on the Red Light list (http://www.palmfocus.com/ldsoftware.php)

I agree with the above, concerning the support. I mean PHMD is working on my Zire but on the weights I didn't got any graphics. I wrote them. They first said it wasn't implemented yet, the second time they said I was doing something wrong :confused: The third time they didn't gave me an answer.

I tried the following:(to get graphics on the weights)

manual and automatic install, didn't work for the graphics
Installed on the PALM emulator, same results no graphics
Installed Palm Emulator "Startap" for WM, same results no graphics
LifeDrive No graphics
Zire No graphics

So I am a kind of expert meanwhile on this program ;)

I noticed I had Rlock and Kmeteo installed. I have removed them. Without any results. PHMD runs and after the register screen it resets again with the message a mentioned in the first post.

I decided to secure erase (hard-reset) it again. Renamed the "backup" folder to "temp" I will then only installed profileMD again, and see whats'happening.

Fresh installed. First run OK Second run soft reset again with the same error as mentioned in the first post! :mad:

It is impossible to get ProfileMD running. I am already very dissapointed with this LD. What a drag.My Dell x50 works 1000% better.

After quite some experimenting. I think I solved the problem. ProfileMD on the Lifedrive can't handle an empty database. So if you have a database which is NOT empty, you have to copy it and overwrite the empty one with the full one. Then it works. Still I think it is a bug.
