It is scary downloading from Fictionwise(same folks with memoware) but the account does not cost anything or require any paypal or credit card registration if you are going for the free download.

Yes it looks like there is a service fee for low cost items but no service fee for free items that are downloaded. It is an annual thing and this year after I downloaded encountered no problems even though experience tells you there is no such thing as free in this world.

It is scary downloading from Fictionwise(same folks with memoware)No connection between the two. Memoware is a division of Handmark. Fictionwise comes from a collaborations Scott Pendergsast and Mindwise Media, LLC, and is now an independant entity called Fictionwise, Inc.

but the account does not cost anything or require any paypal or credit card registration if you are going for the free download. Not scary at all. It simply uses the same delivery mechanism whether you are downloading free ebooks or purchasing them.

I've been getting their posted Hugo and Nebula Award stuff for several years.

experience tells you there is no such thing as free in this world."Free" = "Somebody else pays for it." :p
