Want to charge your battery wirelessly? Well, keep wishing!

I just thought it would be interesting to see how many people actually would check out this post. That would be the best invention ever- so much for dependence on oil! Here's for hoping...

actually have u read about the wireless battery chargers in popular science?

One involved an electromagnetic field around this block that could charge items (which i think need to be specially made) that are very close to it, can be touching or just next to it.

If wireless battery chargers were created they'd have to have an incredible range to make oil useless, and they'd probably be wasteful.

from thinkquest.org:
"Our best possible guess of the average human brain's capacity would by calculating using the number of synapses connecting the neurons in the human brain. Because each of the synapses have different molecular states, we estimate each of them to be capable holding one megabyte worth of memory. Since the brain has 100-trillion-synapses, we can safely say that the average brain can hold about 100 million megabytes of memory !!!"

A 500GB chip would be fairly useless by this estimation.

How about an implantable device to allow the human circulatory system to create usable electric/electronic energy to power and recharge our PDAs, phones, radios, etc... now THAT would get my vote!

there is already a device on the market that can charge your pda, laptop, cell phone, etc without a wire. You just place it on the pad, but I wouldn't call it wireless- because you can't roam. I saw it a CES this year in vegas. Can't remember the manufacturer sorry.

Oh yeah. I've seen that too. I guess it's a step in the right direction...maybe. Without being able to move from the source, as you said, I don't see how it can be called wireless. You have to plug in the pad. At least maybe, it could be an idea instead of having different connectors for each model PDA. Though, I still don't see why they can't just use mini USB or Firewire cables for all. Actually, i do understand quite well- they want more money!!!

I'd update the number if i could. Anyways, having a chip that can receive input directly from all our five senses would outdo any other input method by far. No graffiti... just look, think, organize. Check it out later w/o any problems remembering.

When the anti-matter battery comes into production, then I think you'll see it become reality.

BTW, I had been joking about this for some time now and no one before even had said a peep :D...
