Spots on my UX-50 Lens

Does anyone know how to get spots off of the moveable UX-50 lens.
I tried using a traditional lens cleaner, but even just the corner of that couldn't get the spots on the lens out.
Help?!?

You could also try one of those ear bud things for cleaning your ears...
