I assume that you got it because you needed one that supports a keyboard?

How so? The NX series is compatible with the Belkin G700.

Yeah, it's a pretty good little machine. I had some of the pixels...kinda explode in mine, so I had to exchange it. That's not an option for you, though. It's a great first time PDA. I had a thumboard for mine that made note taking a real breeze for me. Now, though, it's uterly useless to me.

I had one used it for a couple months then gave it to my wife
She carried it for a year no problems. That says alot if you have ever seen her purse you would not believe anything could survive in there for a year. about 3 months ago I traded it for an old Palm VIIx and as far as I know it is still ticking.

There is a Clie-S series forum. Some of us with the S360 are still chatting there.

I personally love my S360! Although, I haven't had anything newer to compare it to. I just bought mine a month ago.

Last PDA I had before the S360 was a Sharp Zaurus 5000, and that thing was big and heavy, and I stopped using it after just a few months. That was years and years ago.

Only real problem I've had with my S360 so far, is it used to freeze up for a split-second every 6 seconds, whenever I was running anything which uses constant CPU, like a game called Pinballz. First I thought it was a hardware related problem. But I eventually discovered it was being caused by my Targus Mini-Keyboard (thumbpad) driver software. Once I deleted the Targus Keyboard driver program, the freeze-up problem went away.

Otherwise, I think the S360 is terrific! I have a ton of programs loaded to it, like AvantGo, HandyShopper, DiddleBug, iSilo, Hot Dates, MobileDB, Billiards, MegaSoft Bowling, ChessTiger, and one of my favorites ... Pocket TV Browser and TV Grid Listings. I also loaded it with many eBooks.

The S360 is an excellent PDA! I don't really care that is is grayscale, since I still get a ton of use from it. It is very light-weight, and I always have it with me, so I can always keep up with the news, business reports, movie listings, play games, take quick notes, stay organized with the DateBook and ToDo list, and lots of other stuff. It's like having a mini-computer with me all the time.

One thing I just got for it is a USB Cradle. Someone had a great deal on one, so I got it for practically nothing (less than $10). It is the model which was made for the Clie S300, but it works perfectly on the S360, and the design is an exact match. If you can get one, the cradle is a great add-on. It has a HotSync button on the front, which saves you from using the software icon to start the HotSync. I highly recommend a cradle.

So .. here are the costs of my S360 so far ....

Clie S360 - $69 (open-box item at Best Buy). Great cond. and came with with power and USB cables, and the Clie cover.
Targus Mini-Keyboard $4.99 (open-box item at BB) Like new.
Sony Clie Cradle ... under $10 (brand new in sealed box).
Belkin Leather belt-style Case $4.99 (open box item at BB) ... New cond.

Best Buy is the greatest place to get PDA stuff, if you are at the right store at the right time !!! They always have bargains.

And for screen protectors, I just cut a sheet of transparency paper (for overhead projectors) to the right size. It works great.

Anyway ... enjoy your new PDA.

Search for the freeware "beamfix". Palm OS 4.0 has a habit of turning on the beam receive each time you hotsnyc. Beamfix will fix that bug...and it's free.

The S360 looks great on the Ebay site !!!

But it doesn't mention if it includes the AC Adapter.

If you need the AC Adapter, you may want to consider buying a model PEGA-UC500 USB cradle from an Ebay auction.

I bought a PEGA-UC500 this week, and although it says on the box it is compatible with the S300, it works perfect with the S360! The S360 fits the cradle perfectly, and the color is a very close match. The cradle is just a slightly darker silver/gray. It is very well made, and has a sleek design.

Also, the USB cradle comes with exactly the same AC adapter you get with the S360 (which is the PEGA-AC510 ac adapter). The AC adapter plugs into the back of the cradle, so you can use the cradle to charge your unit, as well as HotSync. You can also plug the AC adapter directly into the bottom of the S360, if you want to use it without the cradle.

I highly recommend the PEGA-UC500 USB cradle !!! I saw a few listed on Ebay just yesterday.

Here's a link to one I just found on Ebay:
