Anyone who's been itching to buy one, get up early tomorrow. The NX60 is listed in CompUSA's Sunday ad for $299.
No mail-in rebate crap, either.

Where I live I get home delivery of the newspaper, and on Saturdays some of the Sunday paper is delivered, such as the comics, advertisements, coupons, etc. Then on Sunday the rest of the paper is delivered.

Of course, it could be a misprint. A lot of stores have some legal disclaimer about not being responsible for misprints and therefore not required to sell an item for the wrong price. But, who knows?

The NX60 is officially discontinued. This isn't any mistake. Doesn't this make it the same price as.... the Zire 71! Sony knows no boundries. They've now got a Zire 71 contender, an os5 device at $299. This could mean a total knock down of prices. The SJ33 could go down to $199-$249 which means the SJ22 would go down to $99-$149. I think this would discontinue the SJ20 meaning, black and white clies would be history and colour ones at their prices. I'm just speculating, but if you look at it, it makes tons of sense. If everything goes one step down, you could see the TG50 actually go down to $299 also.
This would mean the new price chain I'm speculating will be...
SJ22: $149
New first PDA type thing, I'm thinking they will soon get rid of all the B+W's.
SJ33: $199
Replacing the SJ22 at this range, it goes one up on the SJ22 and brings on an MP3 Player.
TG50: $299
This contends with the Zire 71. An OS5 at $299. It brings up bluetooth, the os5 goodies and a voice recorder.
NX73*: $399
The new clamshell. I believe the new NX series would want to contend with the Tungsten | C and go 64 MB and 400 Mhz
NX80V*: $499
The same as the NX73 but with a 1 MP camera.
NZ100*: $799
The new all-in-one to surpass anything else made. Maybe going higher than 400 Mhz (500, 600?) Maybe going higher than 64 MB (96, 128?) Maybe higher than a 2 MP camera (3, 4?) Probably with some new goodies (WiFi and Bluetooth built in, which would mean CF slot no longer needed, which brings down at least a little of the bulk. Smaller battery with more power, which brings down even more of the bulk. Smaller camera but more MP, which drives down the rest of the bulk. Thus, better form factor, better specs. Probably some new clie software too, like they came out with in their first OS5 models, and first OS4 models. They'll probably find a way to fit something else in there to make it even more all-in-one. TV-Tuner maybe, Radio, GPS, GSM, GPRS, Internal modem to name a few that could be. One man can only hope.
* Speculated names
I would believe the new NX would be the old NX's prices and the new NZ would be the old NZ's price. Then the old versions would go down in price. Also, they just updated the SJ series, they wouldn't update it again so fast.
NX60: $299
NX70V: $399
NZ90: $699
Sigh, one can only hope :) I am so crazy to even think this and post it, but whatever, it's worth a long-shot. I really love making long shot guesses, don't you?

The NX60 is already $349.99 at CompUSA so another $50 price drop would not be a shock. My local CompUSA was already sold out of them at the $349.99 price though.

That sounds like a great deal. But I just got my NR70! Anyway, I think the big reason to bump up for me is that it can take the WiFi card. The card is like $20 after rebate now, and I live in NYC so theres lots of free hot spots that will allow me to take advantage of it. I just hope the CompUSA next to me is selling it for that price.
Other than the OS5, better processor, and Clie Viewer software, any noteworthy differences?
Sony MUST make a non-clamshell OS5 device with a 480x320 screen to knock Palm back to their place in market-share. Otherwise Palm will unseat Sony's status as industry "innovators".

I saw in friday's newspaper that Fry's Electronics is selling NX60's for $300 as well but if you go to oustpost.com (Fry's website) they'll have $349 for some reason, but i saw it for $300.

Ditto. The T|C looks beautiful. I think if it dropped in price to around $350 I'd probably upgrade.

Voice Recorder, Flash Player, Playlists in Audio Player, Movie Player and of course WiFi support. I had a NR70 and its a worthwhile upgrade.

Thanks. Thats awesome info to have coming from someone in my shoes. Thanks for posting. There's a Comp USA two blocks away from me. I just hope that their sales promos are unviersal for all stores, which I think (wishfully?) seems to make sense.
It's also available online at CompUSA's website.

Wow. Thanks to whoever "unregistered" was and tipped us off. Not only did I get it, but I convinced this other woman there who was also looking to get one too. She was looking at the Zire 71, and I told her if youre willing to spend $300 and dont care for the camera, you HAVE to get THIS model! I explained to her why and even gave her my email address so I could send her all the apps I have. Hopefully shell soon be a registered member. And it even came with a free 32MB Lexar MS and Targus leather case!
I love this website!!!
Next: get the WL100 for the unit. There's a Sony $50 rebate on it now, and last I checked a few weeks ago it was $60 on eBay. Just need to find that thread again...

I'm not sure if this would be true in other locations, but the BestBuy here in Reno, NV has the NX60 priced at 299.99 (regular price).

There are lots of them selling on ebay but all the people selling them have already removed the UPC as they bought them at best buy for 60 something bucks, got the 50 rebate and then sell them again for 40-60 bucks for profit.

Do the Best Buys in Canada have NX60's? Saving money is my kind of deal. Especially by $200 (the conversion of $299 is $417 in Canada, which would probably bring it to $499 knowing sony (SJ33) ). I would love to get $150-$200 back (on refund) and have a bigger screen. I would probably keep my TG50 anyways even if it is there, because it's a lot smaller.
