Sorry kind of new to this clie... I was wondering how do I use the shortcuts in side of Date Book?
For those people who don't know what shortcuts I speak of. I'm refering to the ones located inside of Preferences, top Right hand corner, labeled Shortcuts.
How do I use these? Do I need to press a certain key first?
create a new shortcut for example "holiday" and call it ho.
Then do the squiggle in the graffitti area (inverted icthus/fish standing on it's tail) followed by "ho" and "holiday" will be filled in for you.

I belive shortcuts can be used not only in datebook, but in memopad, to do, add on apps like wordsmith, docs to go, exc.

I've checked out the Graffiti "Help" screen and can't find the "inverted icthus" character. Can you point it out? I'd like to use the Shortcuts, but can't seem to invoke them correctly.
Thanks....

In Graffiti you want to make a character that looks like this:

Anyone ever have a problem when adding a new shortcut with an error "The data storage of the handheld is full." ? I keep getting this error when I try to add a new shortcut even after I soft reset. I also know I have about 5mb free on the internal?

Thanks bunches, Cameron! I really appreciate this info!
rowillia - if you drag your stylus from the text input area all the way to the top of the screen (out of the grafitti area) you should see a complete list of all the strokes you have available. The shortcut symbol is also in there.

Or you could merely use a program such as word complete or textPlus which tries to guess what word your typing and it lists all possible words for you to pick. I use textPlus and it is awsome!

The same thing happened to me. I deleted the shortcuts database file from RAM, it appears to have been corrupted. It worked fine after that.

Another shortcut suggestion-I use the shortcut symbol and the letteer "w" to have the Clie produce "http://www." it is a great shortcut for instantly recording a website I hear about and want to check out.
