Dear SONY, Is this too much to ask for my NEXT SJ?

1. I like the same sexy corners (form factor) but in a little thinner package.
(SONY has wasted nearly three millimeters while making SJ33 over the flip and the gap in between the display glass and the upper level of the face where the flip lands. Do something for the sticky oil surface which finger prints glore)

2. Need a updated ARM processor (Dont forget the same DSP or better)

3. At least Palm OS 5.2 (Though I never missed it I hope OS 5 only software may hit the stores one of these days)

4. FM tuner is a must (it's tiny and cheaper (NOKIA) to embed it nowadays)

5. Increased IR range (at least 15 feet)

6. MS pro slot better if with SD card slot too (I know in my dreams)

7. More convenient cradle (What is now sort of Okay but it still is a hassle. For charging it can be a mini jack like on phones eliminating the power and the USB clip)

8. Did I mentined my phone has BlueTooth since last year?

9. Grafiti Backlight is a long overlooked must

10. A way to implement Grafiti1 on OS 5
(I hate Grafiti2 simple 3 strock doesn't produce B anymore, most of the usability is gone I feel or never mind)

11. An decoder that can play MPEG movies without going through the Kinoma hassle (1 GB MS pro will be a waste otherwise)

12. Get rid of the annoying noice when the speaker power up (Click noice)

13. OKay at least 24MB of built in memory

14. Page Up, Down keys still need some work (What if a 5 way navigation of Tungstun)

14. And a little thicker stylus would make my dream a reality,
one of these days very soon I hope....

Sony already has a device with something like that.. it's called the TG50 or the NX series.. or the NZ series..

The SJ series is there bottom of the line.. you will not see most of what you've asked... btw, you wrote two # 14s. :)

Well,

The form factor is the key to my love affair.

I really don't mind the price, can go up but in general this is what I want to see in my next PDA.

I ain't like any of the NX, NV whatever the designs. TG50 Could be better without the keyboard and in a smaller (normal SJ33 size)

And I still didn't ask for a camera though

What I mean is SJ33 is the best form factor I got other than the original Plam m505 (I guess) design. I waited far too long to upgrade that and really happy with SJ33 in general. Still does change my phones regularly and I see phones same in price range these days with middle range PDAs, convegence is still far away it seems. So I might have another one or two PDAs before I step into the brave new all in one phone+PDA device

So for the time being now I need fat SJ33 since I got some cash to burn, since I postponed the Palm515 upgrade...ha.. ha...

Well, I may go for Pocket PC sometimes just to try, a Phone plus Pocket PC PDA.

They ain't available here in Sri Lanka Though...
