UX-40 has stopped Hot Synching

Well my UX-40 has stopped Hot Syching through the USB cable. Says there is no connection for Hot Synch or Data Tranfer. Any ideas?

Have you changed any settings? Installed any new software?

I have this problem from time to time - a quick re-install of the HotSync software is probably the fastest option to restoring normal function.

Well I reinstalled the Hot Synch. I believe that this is a problem with the USB port on my UX40.

I believe that after years of plugging in, the port has failed. If I wiggle it, I can get some connection but it does not last.

Looks like I will have to Hot Synch using Bluetooth - not sure how well that works? I have a bluetooth USB adapter coming in the mail.

Well I also got a UX50 off ebay yesterday so hopefully I can consign my trusty UX40 to a backup role.

Bt HotSync works great for me though seems a bit slower to me
