Hello,
my wifi icon in the status bar in my palm TX has disapeared. I have already tried more than 5 hard resets, but it does not work out, the icon and the wifi function does not come back to normal.
What do I do now? Thanks! :(

Did you get asked to "Erase All Data", and did you press the "up" button on the five-way after being asked? Because if you did a hard reset, what you say should be impossible.

I don't suppose you've got UnCache installed...

Do you have a file in your RAM called Wifi Slip? Use a file manager, like FileZ, Resco Explorer, FileProg, ect. to find out.

If you looked in internal, and it didn't have a file called "Wifi Slip", then you must not have hard reseted. That file resides in a compressed state in ROM and gets copied to RAM after a hard reset. That file in ROM can't be deleted, unless you've done ROM editing (very complicated, and only done with Dmitry's ROM editor). That's is really all I can say.

I am sure i did a hard reset! i did it more than 10 times and even son my wifi icon and wifi function does not appear...The only archives called wifi... are the folowing: "WiFile", " WiFine ConnDB" and "WiFilePHshDB" nothing else...I am using filez to find this "Wifi slip" archive, but this archives does not appear in the filez...

You should have most if not all these files in your Internal memory.

For whatever it's worth, I think BrentDC is right. Unless the ROM in your Tx has been edited, a hard reset should restore the WiFi files he has listed. Check-out this web site for all the types of resets:

One additional alternative, is to purchase the TX Enterprise security update for $5.99 from Palm... That will do almost the same thing as Dmitry's Custom ROM, except that it will take you back to pretty much the state of a fresh TX. Dmitry's ROM is of course different (hence the Custom part) so don't panic if things look a bit different.
