Did updates and now something is not working

Hi for some reason after getting the memory stick update for my clie there is now a problem with accessing the little pad at the bottom of the screen that you can get things like an ? and numbers if you know what I mean. Sorry I don't know what it is called. I am still not doing much with the grafitti feature. Well I know how to get numbers that way but nothing else. I really like that I could just tap and get things like a question mark. I also don't know how to get a question mark from the normal keypad. I know how to get capital letters but nothing else. Is there a page somewhere for us beginners?

Most application have Graffiti help in the "Edit" menu. It will show the start pont as a dot, and the path to create the letter. Yes, it took me a few weeks to get used to it, but it is second nature for me now.
