NEED HELP...CF Locked to read only

I am having a very strange problem. I was moving a file between folders on my CF card and my Clie did a soft reset. Now my CF card seems to be write protected and locked in some sort of read only mode. When I try to access the Card via my PC card reader I get a message that says "cannon access card, write protection enabled"...and i cannot even open it to view card contents. I can read fine off of it when mounted in the clie but i cannot write to the cf or delete anything off of cf or rename anything. I have tried formating the cf in my pc but it says that it is write protected. Did the soft reset screw up my card?

Did you try using Scandisk from your desktop PC or Norton's Disk Doctor? Sounds to me that the card got corrupted when it locked up somehow.

Did you ever install Sony's system update patch?

Yes I have tried scandisk but it won't run. Don't have norton disk doctor. Yes I have installed the Sony update on my NX. Like I said before i can read from cf on my nx but i can write to it on the nx. From my pc card reader i cant do anything. open, read, write, change or even format...

The Sony update is to prevent future occurances like that from happening. If Scandisk didn't work, Norton probably wouldn't either. I honestly don't know if a CF card can be write protected. Send ScanDisk or someone an email asking if it's possible.
