I love my NX-70V and appreciate the unique advantages of flash memory. And, I desperately want more storage for music on my Clie.

I was about to order a 1 GB CF card and the new CF driver when I realized the cost is within $50 or so of the new 10 GB iPod. Make it two 1 GB CF cards and you're close to the price of the 20 GB iPod. 2 GB vs. 20 GB of music. Hmmm.

Now, I don't want yet another device to carry - though I confess to being impressed with the iPod's elegance, engineering and functionality - but it does make you think.

Hello,

There is a lot of solutions to listen music with pocket players

IPod is fine , that's right ( I have a friend that has one )

One good device , but with much more functionnalities ( not only playing music ) is the Archos jukebox multimedia

That can be used as
an external hard drive ( usb 2 or Firewire )
a Mp3 player ( Vbr ) ( which is not the case of the NX )
a portable storage for Digital camera users
( with the specific adaptator )
a portable video recorder
( with the specific adaptator )
a portable Slideshow ( easy to plug on any TV for example )

I really like the new version " Archos jukebox multimedia 140" , 40 gigas , and the additional modules ; camera ( yes a digital camera , photo ( to plug CF or other memory card to flush the pictures in the disk ) & video to record any video sources in Mpeg4 & Mp3 for sound quality

And the price is not so high !!!

But life is always a question of choice.

Palm Tungsten / Clie NX
Clie NZ or NX
with or without bluetooth
CF driver or not
MS pro / CF + driver
Freewares or paying software
...

So much possible solutions , with advantages or not.

The Clie is the Swiss Army Knife of gadgets.

You can do better in most areas, but look at all the stuff you would need to carry around :).
