Hi:
I have a couple of friends and my wife, who own the Tungsten C. My sister needs to backup her old Palm 515s. Unfortunately they won't work with NVbackup, all being non-NVFS devices.
What's the best alternative? Backup Buddy? Would anyone have a recommendation that worked well in the past?
Thanks,
Tom

Card Backup is an excellent backup app for non-nvfs devices. Resco Backup and BackupMan should both work as well although I've only tried RB on NVFS, I used to use BM on my T|T, I'm assuming the latest version will work with older hardware/os.
I just use the backup built into UniCMD on my older devices.

THANKS Cyberdude and _EM. It's awesome that Unicmd has a built in backup feature. That will most likely do the trick for my friends but I'm also grateful to get some recommendations for commercial software that others have actually used, for any that get to the point of using more advanced backup features.

Here's a free backup application, with instructions on how to automate it. It works perfectly fine on OS 4 and OS5.

I have used BackupMan on a couple of Tungsten E's, and it has been rock solid. I use it to keep two units "cloned", which means that I have done countless restores. It has been flawless. It's also pretty speedy compared to some of the other options. The downside: It ain't free!

I was very happy with BackupMan on my pre-NVFS devices.

Another BackUpMan fan here :)
It was the first app on my first Palm, a Zire71 then my TE and it never let me down.
Good price, good support, although you'll probably never need support as it's easy to set up and it does it's job.
Good trial period so worth a test at least.
All the best, woz of oz
