Just thought I'd say that when I first saw the pic on Clie Planet I was gonna post straight away with the MASSIVE NEWS! But then I started thinking why no1 else had put it up, then I remembered that guy who posted a few days ago saying he knows when that site is updated. He would surely have put it up straight away. Then I thought it's not common to get all those facts with a DRAWING, something which you can clearly see.

And then i read the whole story........

In saving face, this whole thought process only took about a minute.

Seriously though, this machine is pretty cool. Sony should take notice. I would definately consider upgrading to something like this, even though I really like the clamshell design now.

If there is such a Clie, it won't have 400mhz or 64mb RAM. Why? Because neither are necessary !

Any increase in processor speed decreases the battery life. And, ask an NX owner whether they find their PDA is slow.

As far as the RAM, you see those big numbers on PocketPCs, because they are memory hogs. Everything uses huge amounts of memory. 32mb would be plenty, but even with 16mb, VFS takes care of everything.

Lastly, the CF slot won't be on a T model, a) because they want to sell MemorySticks, and b) it adds quite a bit to the size of the unit.

I'll disagree on 16MB being enough, thanks to 4MB of heap space, but other than that, I have to agree with kstuart on much of this. As is, my NX is too fast to play older games. Play Tank Pilot sometime on an NX. The time from the enemy tank(s) firing to you being dead is considerably less than a second. Just try evasive maneuvers in that amount of time!

And while I disagree on the 16MB of RAM, that's what I expect to see in any T-series replacement. 32MB in a Clie will debut at the top of the line, and right now, that's the NX/NZ.

PPC's are memory hogs because of the programs, have you noticed that PPC games are much more in depth than palm games. They have better graffics, full screen music...

I believe that with the new hardware for OS5 palms, palm programs are now capable of being bloated, just like PPC programs, and soon enough, we will have programs just as big (if not bigger) than the ones on PPC. Its just that before, palm programs could never handle the load.
