What would the maximum size of Memory card i could use on a NR70V after installing the Memory stick Pro upgrade from the SonyClie Support site?

Just ordered a boxed/new Clie from eBay (Previously had a NX73) after 2 years of using a crappy Lifedrive (Sent for repair 3 times because of faulty digitiser once and dodgy battery twice), and figured that downgrading back to a Clie was preferable to the rubbish performance of the LD,

The main problem for me will be going back to storage measured in MBs instead of GBs so the more, the merrier when it comes to Memory Sticks,

Also, Does the NR70V come equipped with Macromedia Flash player software like the NX73 did?

Thanks for any help you can provide, hope I don't sound like a complet noob, lol!

Hi, with the MS ProDuo update you will be able to have a 2GB (Fat16) stick. Add the CF driver (see stickie at top of NX forum) and you'll also be able to have a 2GB (Fat16) CF card.

If you want to go further, you could also install the FAT32 driver, and you'll be able to have upto 4GB (as Fat32) volumes.

On my NX70V/G I have a 2GB MSPD, and a 4GB CF. The 2GB MSPD is formatted as Fat16 so that AudioPlayer will recognise it.

Do you mean *NR*70V? or *NX*70V?

I've got an *NR*70V which is a lot older than the NX,

Will it still work?

Because if it does, I'm a really happy guy! :-)

Hopefully this is'nt a miscommunication.......

Arrrrgh! sorry, I miss read your machine model.

I didn't realise that there was a MS-Pro Duo driver for the NR70 range. If there is, the FAT driver should recognise upto 2GB after the MS-PD update. I'm sure that the FAT32 driver does not work on OS4 devices.

again sorry for the mistake.
