hey i have a T625C and was wondering if there are any better ways of viewing pics on the clie. I was hoping initially when i got it to be able to just move pics off my P7 digital camera onto the palm (using PGPocket at present) and edit or view files from there, but the quality is not great (it compresses my 3.2 megapixel image into 320x320) and only stores the thing as a DCF or PGP file.
Also for some reason i can't seem to move pics of the newer Sony P72 cameras which a friend has, are the pics stored differently on the new cameras?
Is there a way that i can just move pics between my camera and clie larger than 320x320 and as jpegs, will pgp do it or do i need something else?
Anyhelp here is much appreciated!!

if you wish to use native jpg's it will be easiest to store them on your memorystick and use an imageviewer that supports jpg's.
PGPocket can't do that as far as I know. I can really recommend AcidImage from http://www.red-mercury.com. currently they are offering a 15% discount on their stuff ($16.96 right now for AcidImage). it is pretty fast and is overall a nice app. but there are other imageviewers that might work for you, too. SplashPhoto (www.splashdata.com), I believe, also supports viewing native jpgs.
don't know why you can't move pics of the Sony P72 on your clie. maybe they are progressive jpgs and they are not supported by the software you're using right now? i am not sure how you transfer the pics on your clie right now. but if your converting them somehow this might be the reason.
hope this helps a little

cool thanks!
At the moment on my older p7 i just use pgpocket and convert the files to pgp standard onto my clie i can view the pictures through the p7 memory stick but i can't use the same technique on the p72 mem stick. No pictures come up when i go to look for them in pgpocket

hhm, well then maybe the new camera really uses a different image format which PGPocket can't read.. why don't you demo one of the image viewers and see if that works out. they are really much better and well worth the money if you plan on using your clie to view jpgs quite a bit.

store your image files on your memory stick, and use Yishow as an image viewer you can still zoom as with a dedicated image viewer. jpg's will always take up more space and take longer to download and view than a PgPocket converted file. if you convert in Picture gear lite and don't compress your image you should get a decent image quality.
