os flash for NX

What exactly is "OD"? Did you mean OS?

I'm not aware of ANY flash OS updates for the NX.

OK, let me do a blind guess: maybe Dak is referring to the unix "od" command (od for "octal dump" but it can actually handle other formats like hexadecimal) as seen here:

Now whatever mean you use to get a ROM dump (OD, ROM Transfer Extension, SyncWizard...), there's currently no known way to reflash a NX ROM (not without removing the chip and using an expensive ROM flasher at least).

Some shops in Hong Kong may be able to do this for a (small) fee, but of course they won't reveal their secret (which tool they use...)
