Hello Everybody...

Friday, June 15, 2007 was a sad day for me. I sent my UX50 out for service and hoped for the best!

I seeked the help of you guys here at the forum for someone to send it to that could be trusted and perform the services. You guys here recommended Mr. DanT!

I have to admit I was a bit hestitant to send my unit out but the members of the forum here have provided such valuable information and I was confident that I wouldn't be led astray! I had communicated with DanT via email concerning my UX50 on several occassions and he responded to each and everyone of my concerns! He made the decision to send my unit to him much easier!

Dan recieved my unit on Tuesday, June 19, 2007... a couple of days before he and his family were to go on vacation! I had expressed to him how urgently I needed my unit returned to me because I was leaving to go out of town on a business trip and had alot of information stored in the unit that I needed access to. DanT assured me that he would do his best to repair it and get it back to me before I had to leave for my business trip. Incidentally... I was scheduled to depart from Newark airport on Friday, June 22nd at 7:30am.

Well... Not only did DanT repair my unit... He got it out and back to me by June 21st. I was both surprised and pleased! I allowed it to charge overnight and took it along with me on my business trip! Unfortunately I didn't have the luxury of testing everything out that DanT repaired for me before leaving so I had to do the best I could while I was on the road.

At first I did encounter some problems with the unit and thought to myself... "Ohhhhhhh Noooooo... I knew I should have sent it back to Sony to be repaired... at least it would have been under warranty!" In my haste I emailed Mr. DanT to inform him about my concerns with the unit. I wanted to let him know as soon as possible that I would be returning the unit to him so that he could see first hand what I was concerned about!

Well... turns out that... after I restored my unit and reset it... everything turned out and worked just fine! I owe Mr. DanT a BIG apology! His work on my unit was astonding, professional and nothing short of amazing! He is a man of his word and I strongly recommend his services to anyone requiring service on their beloved UX50!

Mr. DanT.... Thank you... Thank you... THANK YOU!!!!!!

Thank you for the kind words, gman. If that new PowerRunner battery sucks, I'll send you another one. You have 90 days from June 21 to let me know. I'm considering to try switching to LG batteries now.

eva-01, great to hear that the parts arrived safely.
