AAC Support for Audio Player

Anyone think there is a chance on AAC support for audio player?

Much better quality sound, smaller file size ... and it's supported in Apple's iTunes (which will eventually exist for you windows people).

Not a chance. It's proprietary and we haven't even managed to get open formats like ogg playing on audio player yet have we?

I'm thinking there is a small chance.

iTunes is coming to windows.

Plus it's the first alternative with clear advantages.

Ogg really isn't that great. It's a free alternative that's all.

It's not well supported anywhere.. and no reason since there are already formats that are equivilant. No need for another.

ACC seems to be emerging as a standard. It has some backing already, and no real compeditor in terms of capabilities.

Licensing is a problem though.
