transfer photos

I want to transfer photo files from Clie to computer. All manuals seem to indicate you have to load them to the memory stick. Tell it ain't so! Seems you should be able to transfer directly to your computer during active sync. I am not currently using a memory stick.

Sorry, but as far as I know you will indeed need a memory stick.

One option would be to use a screen shot app to take screen shots of the pictures and hotsync that database. This wouldn't need a memory stick, but you won't get full resolution out of the pics.

if you use acidimage and not use 640*480 resolution, then a screen shot program will get you full resolution. It will not if you are using clieviewer.
