Screen Blinking After Battery Change

Hello,

I just got my new battery from Ebay and changed it with no problems as far as I can tell. As soon as I plugged in the new battery however the screen started blinking. Very disturbing. I am wondering if this is normal after a battery change. Anyone experience it before?

What you describe sounds like a reset loop.Try a hard reset. If that does not clear it up, do a a quick series of three hard resets, pressing reset just as something comes up on screen. If still no luck, go back to the old battery and see if the unit works. If so, I would pitch the new cell.

Tried everything here but no luck. Any other ideas? I'm not seeing reset and the blinking is rapid.

I would call this an on/off loop not a reset one. The power light flashes on and off all. Any way to fix this?

OK, I got it fixed. I somehow got a screen up that asked if I wanted to delete everything. I did so and now I'm all good. Hope this helps someone else in the future!

You know when you reached the stage of hard reset when you see it ask you if you want to erase everything. Yes one time my TJ-37 was flashing at me and I finally figured it was time for a hard reset.

Hopefully your Clie can now get a full recharge and you can tell us how long the battery lasts during reading an e-book or whatever usage you use that drains the battery.

It's weird but I wasn't even doing a hard reset. I'll let you know how the battery does.
