Can someone help me with this? I have a bunch of movies in AVI format that I want to watch on my NX70. The method I'm trying is to convert the AVI to MPG using QuickTime Pro, and then using Image Convertor to move it to my 128MB MS, and then moving it to a 1GB CF card.

Problem is, I don't think my MS is large enough to hold the file (I haven't tried it yet). The files are in excess of 700MB.

Does anyone have a better solution?

Image Converter will not make a MQV movie that exceeds 100megs (Pretty sure it's 100) in size. If your movie will exceed that size, it will split the movie up into more than one file. Then when you play them in Movie Player, just make sure it isn't set to loop and the movie will play seamlessly.

You don't need to put them on the MS first. Put your CF card into your card reader in your computer and note the drive letter it is assigned. When you start image converter, have it save to the CF card drive letter. It will give you a message saying that the card is not a Memory Stick, but you can tell it to proceed anyways. This will make the proper directories on the CF card and put the movie straight on there. Wonderful isn't it?? :D

There is a new CF memory beta driver out to be tested by the beta testers only. It may address some of these issues.
