I downloaded Wondermaker to customize a VG for myself. However, I have been undable to get it to work. It will not allow me to open or edit any skins.

Can anyone help in getting me started.

When you say it won't allow you to open or edit skins, what does that mean? Are you getting an error message or is nothing happening?

Here are a couple things to look out for:

1. WonderMaker lets you edit the .wsb files. It will NOT edit .pdb or .prc files. This is a common mistake. Once you create or modify a .wsb file, you move it to your Clie using the MSImport app putting it into /palm/programs/wondersilk directory on your Memory Stick and then use the Kinu-Maru app to import the .wsb file and convert it to a .pdb file.

2. You open a .wsb file by dragging it from a folder or your desktop and dropping it into the WonderMaker program.

3. The skin you are trying to open may be a skin developed using the Japanese version of WonderSilk (I'm assuming you are using the English version.) If this is the case, you have to hold down the Alt key on your PC while you drag and drop the .wsb file into WonderMaker.

That's pretty much it.

And, if you are interested, here's a shameless plug for my site. Go to WonderSilkSkins.com (http://www.wondersilkskins.com) where you will find a number of free skins that I made or modified. I include the .wsb files as well as the .pdb files.

Please let us know how it goes!

OK, thanks, I got that. Now, when a button is set to "Launch program 1" How go you get it to launch the program you want?

it should auto-launch the program you selected when clicked. For each button you place on your skin ....

When you set a button in wondermaker to "Launch Program x" that means the button is 'configurable by the user'. They can make it launch whatever application they want.

To assign a button to an application... that is on your palm using the Kinu-maru application.

Activate the skin you want. Then in the Kinu-Maru application activate the Menu
Then Select the "Launcher Info. Manager"

From there you can assign an application to any of the 'Launch Application" Buttons you created.

Hope that makes sense ;)
