Are you having trouble with vibrate mode on your 700p after installing the MR?

I just have a quick test while listening to the PODcast, it works properly but I notice that if I switch the ringer switch back and forth 4-5 times, sometimes--rarely actually--it doesn't vibrate to show whether it's on slient mode or not. However, if you switch it back on and off again, it works fine. I guess it's not a problem, it's just there is no time enough to vibrate at that time because I suddenly switch back to audio mode  Otherwise, any phonecall, event, alert, and email work as usual: vibrate when needed. If there is any changed information, I'll post. (I just hope it works fine as it is now :-P)

Very European, Alan. Quite so

BTW I noticed you did not use the phrase "favorite beverage of choice " on two occasions. What happened ? Finally got that sponsoring arranged ? :D

Did you every see the episode of Sienfield? European organizer, man purse. LOL

Anyway the kit has proven to be handy on occasion.

And I'm still waiting to hear back on the licensing deal. :D

The Palm Desktop CD can be copied to a Thumb drive, safer to carry than the original CD.

Prior to getting a thumb drive, I used to back up all of my Palm software to a DVD and carried that around with me.

Regarding the switch to vibrate issue, I have had this "issue" on my Sprint 700P since I bought it last June ('06), with one difference however.

When I switch to vibrate (using the sliding switch on the top of the device) sometimes it gives me the short vibrate to let me know and sometimes it doesn't. It's intermittent. However, whether I get the short vibrating alert that it's acitve or even if I don't it doesn't effect incoming messages.

What I mean is, let's say I slide the switch over to vibrate and nothing happens (no short vibrate). If I get a phone call or if Chatter gets an e-mail, I still get the vibration from the device. Therefore, although I don't always get the vibration to let me know the phone is in silent mode, I don't miss any calls or other alerts as a result as the phone still vibrates when I get a call.

Again for me this has been the same pre and post MR.

That is part of my problem. The short vibrate when you switch over to silent mode sometimes works for me now, sometimes not. This started after the 700p MR for me.

Sadly, this is not the case for me. If I don't get the short vibrate the Treo won't vibrate for an alarm or an incoming phone call.

Thanks for the feedback Rob.
