Says a Treo is required. So it won't work over WiFI with a LD or TX?

I also read someone's post stating that the Sling Player for Palm worked fine on his TX.
I am wondering if anyone knows if it will work on the Tungsten C. I don't have a Sling box for my DVR, or I would try it myself. However, the Tungsten C uses Wi-Fi beautifully, so I thought there might be a way to use Sling Player for Palm on my T/C, since it seems to work on the TX over Wi-Fi. If it does work on my T/C, I will probably get a Sling box for my DVR.
I don't know why the developer isn't specifically making the application for Wi-Fi enabled Palm PDAs, too, but that's not my decision. I don't want any of the Treos that have been released, so far. I find my Tungsten C and a separate cell phone preferable.
If you have any information regarding Sling Player for Palm on the Tungsten C, I would appreciate your comments.

It is working wonderfully on my TX over WiFi... the silkscreen of course stays up, so I cannot take advantage of the large screen real estate the TX provides, but that's ok and it what I expected with it being a Treo app....
I'm considering getting a 3G phone that I can connect to over bluetooth so I can see how that connection works, but I want to find some other users who have paired a TX with a 3G phone to see how the speed was.... It would be great to be able to watch my Tivo wherever, whenever....
As for the TC... I doubt that it will work... My guess is that it requires Garnet (and it is actually supposed to be a Treo only app)... You could always try downloading and installing the player just to see if it installs... That should probably be your first step... be sure to do a backup first so that if anything happens you can easily revert back....

npbeers and Quark,
Thank you both for the posts. I'll give it a go on my LD and report back.

LOL! It works GREAT on my LifeDrive. I can't wait to be out of the house and connected to WiFi so I can tap in to watch some TV.
The remote interface seems kind of klunky -- I guess I need to get used to it. It's too much fun....

Do you have the IR sensors for the slingbox properly attached? Can you change channels with SlingPlayer on your PC?

Yes, I have no problems operating my ReplayTV DVRs using the PC version of Slingplayer. I think the problem is with the beta 2 software.
Do you have a ReplayTV that you can change channels on via your TX using the beta2 software?
