I have filez installed on my MS, which is roughly 135k. But when I browse through internal memory using filez, I find 2 files that belong to filez. One is called filez and I think it is 134k while the other is filez..(something) and it is 1k. Do I have two copies of filez?? one in MS and one in internal? or does the filez on MS need these files in internal memory to run?

I think the second one is something that PACE puts there so you can run that OS3/4 program on OS5. At least that's my conclusion (and it could be terribly wrong). I've found those little 1k file for all my apps (always end in a68k or something), and I don't remember seeing them on my previous (pre-OS5) Palm devices. I just leave them alone (since I can't delete them anyway). I've also noticed that if you remove a program, the a68k file stays there until you do a soft reset, and then they're gone. Thoughts anyone? Am I way off base here?
Cheers!
They are on there for the reason you stated. So just leave them:)

Here is what is going on, when you use Filez, your seeing Filez as it was loaded into RAM when you ran the program, plus your seeing the temporary cache file that Filez has created for the current session. I just verified it myself here. Now if you use another file manager like Clie Files, you should not see any Filez files or only one very small sized A68K file generated by the processor. I hope that clears it up for you :)!

And they are created for the reason joshsm stated so they need to stay:)

Well yeah, if Filez is in use. When you leave Filez, it's no longer found in RAM, if it's run from the memory stick :).

Hmm, I was thinking on how I could have some fun with that, imagine someone trying to delete Filez while it's in use :D?

I've always just thought that filez views more files than clie flies can view. Because when I would look in clies files the supposedly duplicate FileZ is gone. But now I know that is not the case.
and yes, I also notice that when you do a soft reset you can delete those left over files.

That was my point.
