Converting "mqv" to "mpeg" ?

Hello guys...

I m a NX7V user and I want to convert "*.mqv" movie file in Clie to mpeg file by using Adobe Premier(version 6).

But once I press the Open menu on the Menu bar in Premier,
I counldn't see *.mqv extention so I couldn't call the source file.
(I found *.mov extention)

I want to convert the *.mqv file to mpge so that everyone can see using Windows media Player...

As I know, Adobe Premier can convert *.mqv file...
(Is it requried higher version than Premier 6...)

Is there anybody who know about this...

IF there is someone who know this stuff,,,

Is there an option in the Open menu bar for 'All Files (*.*)'

I don't use the app, so I'm not sure if its there, but many apps include that. If not, you could try changing the file extensions of the .MQV files to .MOV.

As you mentioined, I tried to open the 'mqv' file again,
but unfortunatly, there are no option like All Files(*.*).
Also I did change file extention like MQV to MOV...
(Just I renamed it on the window explorer)
Actually I don't know how to convert MQV file to MOV...

I had searched around at one time for a way to convert back to mpeg from mqv but never found anything reliable. I do not recall seeing any posts here with an easy solution either. If anyone does know i would be interested to hear it.

You can use Quicktime Pro 6 to do this, but I don't know how to do it in Premier, though I have read that program is also capable. So I can't be of any assitance there. But in Quicktime Pro, you just open the movie, and go to Export in the File menu.
