AT&T Treo 680 Update 1.09 Released

Palm released a software update for the Palm Treo 680 Smartphone for AT&T 1.09. [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=1913)]

I had the problems this release was supposed to fix. My original Treo 680 would not complete the firmware download. So, I have had two replacement treo 680's shipped from AT&T in the past week. I installed the release successfully on both phones. while the new release fixed the spurious character problems, now I cannot respond to emails received. every time I try to respond the Treo crashes and reboots. It is not a hardware problem since the same thing has now happened on the two replacements.

has anyone else seen this problem.
