I have the driver enabled with a Lexar 256 MB card. I also have a 128 MB MS inserted. The built-in Card Info utility says that I have three cards inserted: Card1, my MS; CF Card, and a third card. This third one (actually the second in the drop-down list) has a MS icon next to it in the drop-down list but does not have a name next to it. If I select it, it shows this:

Card: V (icon)
Type: CF+ Card
Size: None

In the box below:

CF+ Card
Device ID:

And that's it.

McFile also thinks there's a third card. I'm using 2.2b1. It shows card1 as the MS, card3 as the CF, and card2 as the mystery card. If I select Card2 it says:

The MemoryCard cannot be accessed. Check to see if it is firmly seated... etc.

Is the Compact Flash driver doing something sneaky, and some apps only have partial multi-volume support, or what else is happening? So far it's merely cosmetic, I just ignore Card 2. Other apps like Zlauncher and ISilo see only the proper two cards.
I have observed this in both Masquerade Mode and not, Trick Mode and not.

Anyone else see it?

Jeff

It's normal and don't worry about. If you go into ZLauncher and look at info you'll see the same thing. Also in card info. Space was reserved for two memory sticks or cards in the Palm OS and then the CF.

myWorkbench doesn't have this problem.
It works great with the CF. You can copy/move files between medias. Very cool.

Cliesource now sales myWB. check it out.

Okay, but it's not the driver, it's the application itself. Some apps reserve space for extra cards. Even the poeple at ZZTech said it was normal. I don't see it as a problem, because it usually would just it blank. If it really bothers anyone, then write to the developer of the application.

Sure, and what I want to say is that it's up to the developer of third-party applications, not the CF driver itself, for those two (and some other) applications has supported multi-card function since HandEra 330. :)
