to play Flash format files (.swf). www.macromedia.com has more info on Flash, www.flashenabled.com has some files you can use on your Clie

Generally Flash files are files that contain short clips or games, but what's special about them is the fact that they store information in vectors instead of bitmaps.
These take up much less memory then bitmaps and still look nice. Basically vector gfx contain commands like "draw line from point 12,24 to point 35,12 and make it red and a bit transparent"

A typical Flash file has an .swf exention. Just download some and put theme into the PALM/PROGRAMS/MMFLASH folder on your memorystick. Next time you start Flash player they will then show up in the list and you can watch/play them

flash is more or less a graphical programming language for web based (and sometimes now not so web based) programs. Anytime you see a web page that says ::loading:: that's flash (there are a lot more than that, but that's the easiest example). Now the files that runs the flash is .swf file, like a .html file is the file that runs a web page made from html (or java i guess). These .swf are then stored in your temporary internet files when you view a flash file on your PC. You then download a program like flash hunter (http://flash2x.net) which lets you see all those .swf files. Then you grab one of those, use ms import to stick them in the "mmflash" folder under programs on your memory stick. And there yah go, you can now use those flash files in your clie. I hope that explains it!

Enjoy.

p.s. I recently loaded a few flash files on my MS (mr. snoozelburg) and my clie couldn't read episodes 2-4 because it said i didn't have enough memory... i have 1.3mb which i thought seemed like a normal amount needed for this compared to some other people. I dunno, it played the first episode fine though. HAs anyone else had this problem?

Many Flash files have sound that is in MP3 format. Unfortunately, the NX Flash Player can playback the sound in those files.

If the sound in the Flash files uses MP3, then you can not playback the sound. If it does not use MP3, then the sound will playback. I don't think there is any way you can tell ahead of time which format of sound the file uses, so you just have to try it and see.
