well, i am a new user to this NX-70V. I followed all the steps from the CF driver manual of how to activate MS Masquerading, and i got the my 256mb CF working, and able to see the files from Clie Files. But the problem come, everything time i input mp3 using my CF reader into the folder /palm/programs/msaudio, all the files included the directory disapper once i inserted the CF card back into the Clie. I outline of what i did, and hope anyone can help me out! Thanks
1. Remove the CF from clie
2. insert CF into my USB reader, and transfer mp3 manually from
My Computer, and confirm the files are in the MSAudio driectory
3. insert CF back into the Clie
4. Turn power on
5. check using Clie Files
6. CF shows no MSAudio directory nor any mp3
7. turn off Clie
8. remove CF and insert back to the USB reader
9. ??? CF shows exactly what the clie showing me, with no mp3
at all
For some reason, the data got completely erased???
Thanks ahead for any input!

u need to use masquerading mode...follow directions in manual. otherwise, audio player simply will not recognize the files. it is still quirky though...

The files should NOT disappear or maybe they never got copied there in the first place. Have you tried any other files? I suggest contacting EruWare Support.
support at eruware.com replace "at" with the @ sign.

What is masquerading mode? I bought my NX70V used and didn't get a manual.
How do I use it?
I've got MP3s in the /PALM/Programs/MSAUDIO directory on the CF card but they're just not showing up in the Audioplayer.

Masquerading mode is the CF looking like a MS. BTW I think that you have to old CF app from Eruware installed.

Ok...so I don't need that.
But why doesn't AudioPlayer see the MP3s on my Compact Flash card? They're in the proper directory aren't they?

go with peleca's drivers
they're much easier to deal with

I am using Peleca's drivers - but when I go into Audioplayer I can't see any of the MP3s that are on the CF at all. I have them in the proper directory (as listed above).
Any ideas?

go to the menu in audioplayer and go to "select album"
then at the top you might see "memory stick"
change it to "compact flash" and see if it helps at all
btw, when u installed the CF audioplayer, did you remember to disable background play on the old one BEFORE installing the new one?

Yes - I did disable background play. No, selecting album and compact flash isn't helping - it's what I was doing anyway.
This is frustrating! But thanks for helping.

Didn't work. I gave up. I have instead moved my applications and other data to the CF and moved all multimedia to the MS and now all functions.
Thanks for trying!
