M515 to SJ33

I have the M515 and looking to get a unit with a better screen. Has anyone taken this upgrade path the the SJ33 or can some suggest a better unit.

I recommand Zire 71. :D

I just UPGRADED from a 505 (what a lemon) to a sj33 and I'm thrilled with it. No gimmicks, just a very well made unit with a faster processor (66) and hi res screen. Yes, the zire 71 has an amazing screen but what you don't get with a zire is: JOG DIAL and back button and a SCREEN COVER that is very HARDY. Wait till you see the piece of junk case that palm gives you with the zire 71 - try opening that in a hurry and entering info. Zire 71 is a great toy - but if you really use your pda for on the job WORK - the the sony sj33 is IT!! Plus it has a speaker and the MP3 player ROCKS. One more thing - try using the new zire 71 "joystick" with one hand and feel how flimsy it is....take a guess how long that will take to break!!

Although the Zire 71 seems like an obvious choice you should check one out in person. Some people don't like the joystick. The sliding component is one more potential trouble area, only time will tell though. You can't use hacks with OS5 so if you're attached to them at all be ready to lose them. I'm very happy with my SJ33 as I find any PDA without a protective flip cover to be an unwanted inconvenience.

I upgraded my m515 to a high res screen (the T665c). It was the best decision. The difference is unbelievabl in my opinion. You really can't go wrong with an SJ33. You get a faster processor, high res, and an MP3, not to mention the Jog Dial and back button. I'd say go an do it!

If you have the money, why not go for a nx? you can find them for like 360 on the internet...just a suggestion since you would get more for your money...60 bucks is totally worth the mp3 remote, much faster processor, hires+, and ability for wifi or compactflash storage.mspro if you decide to go that route...built in camera....in the end you get so many more options for 60 bucks more than the new price of a sj33

My wife had an m515 but hated the screen. I gave her my SJ30 and got myself an NX70V. She's happy and I'm ecstatic. :)
