GPRS Disconnection

Hi guys,

I have tried to set up my TG-50 to connect to GPRS via my IR on my phone.

Got the local configurations from here http://www.palmx.org/detailnews.asp?id=73

It manages to connect and sign-on very quickly, but whenever i turn on an application like verichat or netfront / webpro. the pda freezes and i have to do a reset.

I have not had any problems connecting to GSM-WAP.


Can anyone who has a similar experience help me to troubleshoot my problem ?

am using Verichat and ICQ also. all the programs freeze up for like 1-2 minutes, then a message pops up saying that the connection could not be made. (its connected on my phone). tried PPP set, but no difference !

I'm the author of the above article at palmx.

Based on feedback from members, for OS5, please remove the initialisation string, if you're connecting to Digi or Maxis.

For Celcom, we are still troubleshooting the settings. We are trying to borrow the necessary SIM card to check it out. We believe the trouble is related to the DNS and gateway.

Then you must be the Celcom user.

Try out these new DNS.

203.82.64.41

Problem with Celcom is that they have yet to announce the settings on their webpage, forcing us to try it out on our own.

BTW did you try to access the Celcom GPRS direct from your phone, using the settings that I gave previously?

yes i did, but still stuck after the connection. bummer ;) saw the animatrix at speedy video for RM 19.90

i think its my handphone that is sewel lar .. it disconnects after it passes the 'enter password' screen.
