hi all, just wanted to see if anyones having problems with simpletech cards. i keep getting fatal exception whenever i try to mount my 512mb simpletech i just purchased. do they need formatting before they can be mounted? hope somebody can help me out.

I'm still waiting for my Sinpletech cards from Dell. I suggest you try to reformat it in FAT. It might be in FAT32 out of the box.

Some folks have gotten that error if the entered the CF Registration code incorrectly. You may want to double check that if you haven't tried another card that has worked for you.

Also, make sure that the EruWare ID you sent them was in the correct case as it is case sensitive.

Yep, sounds like a registration error... SimpleTech cards are very good and rival more expensive cards in MOST devices. There are some capatability issues with some devices, but this is true of most CF cards...

I concur that it's most likely a registration problem, as there have been a few having the same issues. If it was a formatting issue it would come up as unrecognized format and try to offer to format it, but format is not supported at this time.

thanks guys, yeah it was reg prob. i entered eruware id in lower case letters....didnt know it was case sensitive. i am still having problems with movie player and accessing some movies but that seems to be a common problem. any tips to resolve this?
