My Address Book somehow does not look like a Hi Res App. I tried loading the one for NX as well, but still the res is not good.

Any help?

Can you collapse the Virtual Graffitti area? If so, then you are in fact running the NX "hi-res" version. That's about the only hi-res attribute the program has. Not many graphics for the address book; it's just text. If the text looks bad, make sure you turn on hi-res assist for that program...

Have a look at Agendus from Iambic (www.iambic.com) ... does a great job of HiRes and font support

You may also want to check the Font settings in the application.

As this thread was posted in the NR section, can I ask whether the NR address book should be high res? Mine doesn't allow me to hide the graffiti area?!

The address book that comes with the NR series Clie does NOT allow you to hide the graffitti area. However, if you download the NX series address book and install it, you will have TWO icons for the Address book, and the NX version WILL allow you to hide the graffitti area. This goes for the ToDo list, Memo Pad, and Calendar as well...

Correct; I have had no problems whatsoever with the NX apps on my NR70v. There are some people here who have actually gone as far as to remove the NR apps from ROM, and replace them with the NX apps. While this CAN be safely accomplished, it is not needed. I have both installed together, so I just have 2 icons for each app. I also use LauncherX, so I take the icons for the NR versions, put them on their own tab, and then just hide that tab. Then remap the hardware buttons to launch the NX apps. Simple as that!

I may have to try this.  I take it you can find the programs on the Sony website or do I need to go somewhere else?  How much memory do these apps, like the address book take up?  I am stingy with my memory, but I can't imagine these apps would be that big.

I'd refer you guys to the following thread:

http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1140

There's a link in that thread that will take you to a downloads page. There's also a step-by-step for removing the NR apps from ROM (although that's not a necessary step). I don't know offhand the size of these programs. I doubt they're much larger than the NR apps, so check those filesizes for reference...good luck!
