Palm OS Newsreader?

So here we are. The beautiful Clie NX, a 256MB Memory Stick, a WiFi card, extra storage now available on CF Cards......

Where's the NewsReader!? :D

 

If there isn't one...then let's put together a wishlist for one!

 

Let's start with:


HiRes+ Support (I tend to make my font as tiny as possible soI can get more on screen) :)
External Storage Capability (Considering the sheer number of posts on some groups...yikes..)
WiFi Integration (Obviously)
Binary/Yenc support (IMO, a waste for on the handheld)
Ability for offline postting (Outbox kind of posting)


What else?

Newsrover is supposed to have some kind of Palm support. It also happens to be a kick-a** news reader.

They do, but it's a manual solution...and they don't plan to do anything about it. Once wrote tech support there about it, and they grumpily replied that I was the first person who ever requested autosync for the Palm (I doubt that...), and that they won't install a feature if just one user wants it.

But agreed...good PC newsreader.

I have tried the others out there and basically given up reading newsgroups on my SJ30. Yanoff is pushed a lot, but I could never get it working reliably. Nothing out there supports hi-res in the least...guess it's too small an audience for someone to write a decent program.

I have even tried using iSilo and syncing off one of the web-based newsreader solutions, but that was...messy, at best.

Hopefully someone else will chime in who's had a more positive experience with newsreaders on a Palm-based PDA.

Yanoff (search at palmgear) und try to use Codediver to use it highres+

Yanoff is actually a rather old Palm prog. I'd say at LEAST 3 years. I'm surprised that it still exsists.
