View Full Version : Anyone know how to sync a folder. . .?

I'd like to be able to have a folder on my PC auto-sync its contents with a selected folder on the SD card every time I hotsync. My specific "need" (yeah, right!) is to have a folder where Podcasts are dumped every morning, and the TX "picks them up" at the next hotsync. . .automatically, of course!

Anyone know how to do this?

I don't hotsync, so I'm not sure how that would work, but I use SyncBack to keep info upto date on my card. It's a great utility from 2brightsparks.com. There is a free version, which I use, and a paid version which has more bells and whistles.

I do not know a thing about this program, but I had just stumbled on to a reference to it just a moment ago:

Also if you use a PC there is the windows media player conduit.

The Media Player conduit works only with PocketTunes Deluxe as far as I know.

Another way to sync would be a cardreader and Microsoft's SyncToy.

I have chosen not to go this route because I find that some days I am unable to get to all my podcasts and I do not want them superceded by the next episods.

I'm an XP user. I can sync ptunes and WMP. . .but I'd rather avoid having to tie all that together, and it doesn't link to Hoysync as far as I know.

That BlueSync looks good--I'll try it and update in a little while.
