View Full Version : Upgrade from 650 to 680
Having put up with the feeble memory of the 650 for long enough I have bought an unlocked 680. (The 650 was from Orange.) Is it possible to carry everything over from the 650 to the 680?
Thanks if anyone can help!!

JUST did that today. Went from a Cingular 650 to a 680. The install found some app (like zlib and mathlib ???) that the install claimed were incompatible with the 680. After the hotsync to the original hotsync ID I still got into a endless loop I had to use a WARM reset to get out of it. Probably some stubs from the 650 that should have come over. Have one real issue I can't figure out. Have been a long time user of ZLauncher. Will not automatically come up as the the default launcher even though I have it selected that way. Other than that after a couple hours of playing with it, seems to be fine with all the apps I had on the 650.

As the previous poster stated there could be a few issues, I would be inclined to set new Hotsync ID, bluetooth your contacts to new 680 unit and then look for updates version of your applications and install seperate.
I am using the 680 with my Orange UK Pay Monthly SIM and get a better signal on it than I did on me Sony Ericsson K800i :)
