help! i left my clie without charging the last couple of days and now my date book/datebk database seems to have wiped and won't come back up again when i hotsync. DateBk has also run out on it's trial period but i want my data back on the database before i shell out the money. Has my lost of data anything to do with the ending of the trial period??
need help as it is quite scary not having my clie run my life now! The data is still on MS outlook but not going onto my clie!

Don't listen to "unregistered" about a hard reset. He/she seems to be posting that response on several threats.
As a DateBK trial user (I'm going to buy it soon) I remember reading that Datebk stores your appointment information in the native Palm Datebook format. For instance, if you try the trial version, and don't like it, uninstalling the Datebk program will not trash all of your appointments. They will still be useable in the standard Palm Datebook format.
So, if you remove the DateBK program from your Clie and then Hotsymc with your computer, all of your appointments should still be there.

Yes, that's true...DateBk does use the native Datebook database, so if you remove DateBk, you won't be removing your data.
