Hotsync not working

This is my problem:
I recently bought a Treo 680 and yesterday i synced it with my laptop, in which i had another Palm backup from my Tungsten E, it all went well and i got all my apps, contacts and events in my treo, but today, when i tried syncing again, it wouldn't... When i press the Hotsync button in the Treo or in the cable, it enters the sync screen but gets out imediatly, and nothing happens on the computer... I tried it with bluetooth Hotsync and i get the same result, has somebody been though this? What could i do?

The Tungsten E has a very different OS than the Treo and the Preference file you copied into your Treo has basically hosed everything. Do a hard reset of your Treo, then go to Palm's Support site: Upgrade from another palm (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,Case=obj(12926)) and follow the instructions. ;)

But the thing is that i was able yo hotsync like 2 times without problems, and it suddenly stopped working, i'd like to find a way without a hard reset...

Good luck, the two devices are incompatible for direct restoral of backup.

Since few days my Treo 650 wont sync my calendar and contacts anymore. When i sync by cable or BT it starts to sync and somewhere in the middle of process Treo restart itself and no new calendar is syncked between treo and pc..
soft reset doesnt change anything either...
before i forget, hotsync sometimes does cync or overwrite some new meeting and not the others... so, there is no way to find out when and which will sync..

btw, i do have a 2GB SD card with 1.9GB free and my Treo has about 2MB free of 23 MB.

any ideas guys?

Try an application called DBscan (http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbscan.zip). Do a forum search on this app. I remember numerous threads about problem hotsyncs and corrupt databases. Give it a try. Good luck.

just installed it and run the scan and..... VOILA... everything is back in normal again after having find 185 errors in canlendar... all 2 years old meeting had to be removed....
