Reformat

I'm going to do a reformat on my computer soon. What is the easiest most painless way to preserve all of my data so that I can be up and running with my clie asap? Any hints or thoughts? Thanks! :)

I recently reformatted my laptop. All I did was a hotsync right before. I saved "C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld" (which is the path to my Clie files) to a CD and I did a backup to my MS as an extra measure . When the reformatting was done, I installed Clie Desktop from the CD that came with my Clie. Then hotsynced. It was all transferred to my laptop like before. Pretty simple.
